A Business Innovation Center for Immigrants

The Norwegian Center for Multicultural Value Creation is a national pilot project in the Drammen region, with an aim to demonstrate values, entrepreneurial spirit, professionalism and contribution among immigrants in Norway. The center is expected to be a role model for similar regional centers elsewhere in Norway.

The Norwegian Center for Multicultural Value Creation is a co-operation among 27 organisations and relevant parties, representing public and private sector, central government, the regional county, eight municipalities, local businesses, various organizations, immigrants and ethnic Norwegians.

The Norwegian Center for Multicultural Value Creation will support entrepreneurship, value creation and available resources among immigrants. The center focuses on innovation, job creation and fostering a dynamic business culture among immigrants. The center’s activities are focused on guidance, coaching and training of the immigrants on entrepreneurship, as well as business establishment. It includes the following services:

  • Resource mobilization and motivation for new business development
  • Skills development
  • Business advisory services and coaching
  • Cooperation between the authorities, the private sector and the minority groups
  • Network groups
  • Financing network
